Rebecca Black Covers 'We Can't Stop,' Changes The Words, And Doesn't Suck

Oh, Rebecca Black. What are we going to do with you now?

The Friday singer released a cover of Miley Cyrus' We Can't Stop over the weekend and it has, to say the least, confused the hell out of me. Is this girl actually talented or is she destined for YouTube obscurity?

Black, who is joined in the video by someone named Jon D, doesn't do a bad job turning the party anthem into a stripped down acoustic ballad. But therein lies the problem, We Can't Stop wasn't meant to be something you sing on the way to church.

A few of Cyrus' lyrics have been changed in the vein of making the record a tad more family friendly. Those changes leave the song flat and a far cry from the party mix Miley wanted.

Check out the video, above, and the Rebecca's revisions to the song below.

REBECCA'S VERSION:

To my home girls here living it up; Feelin' alive and are in love; Remember only God can judge ya; Forget the haters 'cause somebody loves ya; Everyone actin' like they know you; So fake, actin' like they so cool; We all so turned up here; Getting turned up, yeah, yeah

MILEY'S ORIGINAL:

To my home girls here with the big butt; Shaking it like we at a strip club; Remember only God can judge ya; Forget the haters 'cause somebody loves ya; And everyone in line in the bathroom; Trying to get a line in the bathroom; We all so turned up here; Getting turned up, yeah, yeah
