Nicki Minaj Compares Men To Dogs, Says She May Ditch Music For Acting

Nicki Minaj has big dreams -- and she's not going to let a man stop her from reaching them.

In the August 2013 issue of Marie Claire, the rapper says she'll never let a beau get in the way of her career and advises other ladies to do the same. In fact, she tells publication that men should be treated like dogs. You know, like the ones that sit in your lap.

"Don't chase any man. Put your school first," she says. "Men love independent women. You don't have to be a b****, but there's nothing wrong with it at times. And: Men are kids at heart. They want to be nourished and pet like a dog."

And what are her goals? According to Minaj, who's already starting a fashion line for K-Mart and shooting her feature film debut, there are a few records still left in her before she switches to acting fulltime.

"I at least want to do three more albums. If I can do that, I'll feel complete," she says. "One day, when I start getting a couple gray hairs, maybe it will all be only acting. I just never know."

Currently, the former American Idol judge is slated to star in The Other Woman, a romantic comedy starring Cameron Diaz and Kate Upton.

"I would be lying if I said I was not nervous," she says of acting alongside such big names. "I can't blow this."
