While the Duchess of Cambridge waits to give birth, the rest of her family headed to the Coronation Festival Evening Gala at Buckingham Palace tonight.  Her Majesty invited Catherine’s family – Michael, Carole, Pippa (in a Tabitha Webb dress, Aruna Seth heels and carrying a Lamb 1887 clutch, according to @Anastasia63115425) and James Middleton – to enjoy the event from the royal box.

“Friends say Kate’s feeling really well and at one stage today was even thinking about going to tonight’s Buckingham Palace concert,” royal reporter Richard Palmer tweeted.  “In the end Kate decided to stay home but her parents and siblings were in the VIP section at tonight’s concert along with the royals.”

This evening kicks off a four-day festival bringing together several different British industries, and is put on by those who hold the esteemed Royal Warrant.  Sixty years ago, the Queen took her vows in a glorious coronation service inside Westminster Abbey.

Prince Philip, 92, sat this one out, as he is still recovering from abdominal surgery.

While touring the festival earlier today, the Duchess of Cornwall told reporters that the entire family is eagerly awaiting Baby Cambridge’s arrival.

“We are very excited, immensely looking forward to it and waiting for the phone call,” the Duchess said.
