Kate Middleton’s Fanciest Hat Repeats
Hats don’t come cheap. A bespoke creation can cost one up to $5000, so it’s no wonder the Duchess of Cambridge chooses to recycle some of her glorious headwear.
At 2012’s Remembrance Ceremony, Her Royal Highness wore a Philip Treacy hat first seen at Prince William’s 2006 Passing Out parade. Not only that, but Catherine rewore her black Diane von Furstenberg dress, a look we first spotted during 2011’s ceremony.
“Certainly I think a hat can be worn more than once,” milliner Jane Taylor told Marie Claire about the DoC’s knack for recyling. “It really depends on the outfit and the versatility of the hat. If the hat suits the outfit I don’t see why it can’t be worn again and again.”
