Beyonce’s Super Bowl Halftime Show Got an Emmy Nomination

Beyonce Knowles’ Super Bowl Halftime Show, the one that featured cameos by Destiny’s Child but no new music, received an Emmy nomination this morning in the verbose-sounding category of Outstanding Special Class – Short-Format Live-Action Entertainment Programs. Funny! But hold off on the EGOT talk; Knowles herself wasn’t nominated, as she wasn’t listed as a producer. Still, congrats are in order, I guess. (The special received two additional nominations in technical categories, as well.)

The other nominees are: ‘Between Two Ferns’;’s ‘Burning Love’; ‘Children’s Hospital’; ‘The Daily Show Correspondents Explain’; and ’30 Rock: The Websisodes.’

Beyonce vs. Tina Fey. Who would’ve thought?
