Cripes: Will And Kate’s Dog, Lupo Gets Stuck In A Fence

Update 7:44 ET: According to HELLO! Magazine, reps from Clarence House deny that Lupo was the dog who got his head stuck in the Middleton’s gates.  It should be noted that the family has a dog, as does James.

As if the Duchess of Cambridge didn’t have enough to worry about, her cocker spaniel reportedly got his head stuck in gate at the Middleton home in Bucklebury.

According to Minimiddleton, photographer Greg Blatchford was waiting by the family property to get a photo of Her Royal Highness when he heard someone shouting what sounded like “Lupo” and commanding the dog to heel.

Soon after I heard a high-pitched scream which sounded like a dog is distress,” Blatchford said.  “I presume that was when they were pulling the poor animal out from between the bars of the gate.”

A 999 call was placed for animal rescue at the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service just before six last night, but Lupo was able to free himself just as help arrived.

“Our crew got to the manor but were told as they arrived at the gates that the dog, which had got its head stuck, had been freed just a few moments earlier so their services were not needed,” a spokesman confirmed.

“The animal rescue unit was stood down before it reached Bucklebury and the appliance returned home.”

It was reported today that William and Catherine left the Middleton home and are back in London.
