'American Idol's' Hollie Cavanagh Exclusively Performs Her Debut Single 'Outer Limit'
The pint-size blonde crooner, who stole hearts as the fourth-place winner on the hit reality competition show during its 11th season, is coming out with a pop album and gives Celebuzz a sneak peek of her latest vocal stylings during an exclusive in-studio performance.
But before she took over the mic, she had a few words of wisdom for future AI contestants and what’s in store in her music future.
“It can be stressful, but the biggest thing is to stay confident and sane and don’t let it all get to your head and be there to sing. Don't let any negativity get you down,” the 20-year-old pop star-in-the-making tells upcoming stage stars of AI’s 14th season.
And take her word for it, Cavanagh is already working on her debut album.
“It’s been a lot of fun. I’m glad I can become my own artist and create my own music,” she said of her album which she’ll release soon enough for all her diehard Holliepops.
“When I really have the exact direction I want to go with the album, that’s when I’ll release it," she said.
But up first is her debut single, "Outer Limit", which the breakout star with the powerful voice describes as a “fun, pop, summer song.”
“'Outer Limit' was a stressful process, just getting the song finished,” she said with a proud smile. “It was my first writing experience, it’s cool that my first song is one that I co-write on.”
