Jennifer Lawrence’s Oscar Now Lives at Her Parents’ House in Kentucky

Jennifer Lawrence revealed to Access Hollywood Sunday that the Best Actress Oscar she won for Silver Linings Playbook in February now sits on top of a piano at her parents’ home in Kentucky.

“My parents took it back to Kentucky, ‘cause I felt odd having it, like, on display in my house,” the 22-year-old said in an interview at Comic-Con.

She continued:

If anybody’s coming over to my house, I didn’t want them to remember that. Just kind of puts a weird energy out … I put it in the hallway towards the bathroom, and my mom was like, ‘I’m taking it. It shouldn’t be here.’ And now it’s on a piano in Kentucky!

If I won an Oscar, I would probably keep it in a temperature-controlled vault and call it “The Oscar Room” akin to Mariah Carey’s “Butterfly Room” on MTV’s Cribs. But I get where she’s coming from.
