Amanda Bynes’ Parents File For Conservatorship
Five years after the princess of pop's public meltdown made headlines and consequently her estate was placed under temporary conservatorship a day after she was taken to a psychiatric hospital, Amanda Bynes’ parents have reportedly done the same.
According to TMZ, Rick and Lynn Bynes filed court documents July 25 asking for a conservatorship over their troubled daughter, who’s currently under a 5150 hold at an undisclosed Los Angeles medical facility.
Conservatorships are imposed when a person can’t take care of themselves or handle their personal affairs.
Amanda’s psychiatric stint came after she set fire to a residential driveway in her hometown of Thousand Oaks, Calif. late Monday night.
The report indicates a court hearing has been set for Friday.
