So, A Lot of Celebrities Had Babies This Week
Unless you’ve been living on some remote planet where Internet doesn’t exist and the only gossip you hear about is that weird thing your next-door neighbor did while walking up the driveway yesterday (basically Alaska), you’ll know by now that a whole bunch of celebrities had babies this week. Of course, babies are born every single day, despite what certain websites may tell you. But, yeah. People definitely had babies on the brain this week.
Here’s a quick recap of what happened:
The Royal Baby Is Finally Born
After months of incessant coverage by the media, Prince William and Kate Middleton at long last welcomed a healthy baby boy on Monday, June 22. The baby weighed 8 lbs., 6 oz. and was quickly given the name “Baby Cambridge,” before the proud parents finally settled on George Alexander Louis (or, His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge).
Lady Antebellum Has a Baby
Hillary Scott, best known as the lead singer of Lady Antebellum and that “Need You Now” song I think has finally been erased from the public consciousness forever, also welcomed a baby on Monday — a daughter named Eisele Kaye Tyrrell (pronounced Eyes-lee). Born in Nashville, Tenn., the little country tot weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz., and was described as “incredibly gorgeous” by her understandably happy father.
For Penelope and Javier, Daughter Makes Two
Also welcoming a little girl on Monday were parents Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz. Cruz — who also has a son, Leonardo, 2, with Bardem — gave birth in Madrid, according to reports. Further information, including a name, was not revealed.
Jimmy Fallon Has a Funny Girl
Last but not least, funnyman Jimmy Fallon and his wife, Nancy Juveonen, welcomed a baby girl early Tuesday morning. During Wednesday’s Late Night monologue, Fallon revealed her name: Winnie Rose Fallon.
