Katy Perry's 'Prism': How A Giant Gold Truck Sparked New Album News

All that glitters isn't gold. Sometimes, it's a mysterious semi.

Rumors of a new Katy Perry album have surfaced after several Los Angeles residents -- including one Celebuzz editor -- spotted a gold-plated truck painted with the songstress' name and date being driven around the city on Monday.

Aside from the mysterious date -- October 22, 2013 -- printed on the side of the big-rig, the truck also had the word "Prism" emblazoned on its side, suggesting that it may be a promotion item for her upcoming album.

The "Firework" singer's longtime stylist, Johnny Wujek, prematurely let the cat out of the bag confirmed the speculations on his Instagram, writing:

Wahoo. My girls new album is announced. PRISM. 10.22.13. Get ready to be enLIGHTened#you'reGonnaflip #everysongisaHit
The songstress also later tweeted about the news, writing: "Find the #PRISM semi, take a picture and I'll RT you. Don't worry, Los Angeles is just the first stop on the map."

Last April, the 28-year-old boasted to The Sun that her new music "is about to get real f***ing dark."

This will be Perry's fourth studio album and the follow-up to 2010's Teenage Dream
