Teresa and Joe Giudice Surrender to Police, Freed on $500,000 Bond Each

Teresa and Joe Giudice arrived in federal court Tuesday morning to surrender to authorities in their federal fraud case. The Associated Press reports the couple is now free on $500,000 bond each. They have also been forced to surrender their passports and Joe will be subjected to regular drug testing, since he’s not a U.S. citizen.

Yesterday the Real Housewives of New Jersey stars were both indicted on 39 counts of conspiracy and fraud. The two have entered a plea of not guilty and Teresa asserted her innocence yesterday in a statement to Celebuzz, saying: “I am committed to my family and intend to maintain our lives in the best way possible, which includes continuing my career. As a result, I am hopeful that we will resolve this matter with the Government as quickly as possible.”

For the time being, the Giudices will not be able to leave New Jersey and New York.
