Russell Brand Jokes About Sex Life With Katy Perry: I Would ‘Think Of Anyone Else’
So much for having “nothing but love for her.”
Just a year and a half after their divorce, Russell Brand is making cracks about ex-wife Katy Perry. At a recent warm-up gig at London’s SoHo Theatre, the British funnyman reportedly made a joke about the former couple’s bedroom behavior, telling the audience that having sex as a married man no different than being a celibate monk.
“When I got divorced, I considered becoming a monk,” he said, according to the San Francisco Gate. “When you’re a monk, you’re not allowed to have sex with anyone. When you’re married, it’s one person. That’s one more than a monk. It’s not that different. I’d be having sex thinking, ‘Think of anyone, anyone else.'”
As for Perry, she recently admitted in an issue of Vogue that Brand’s charm was fading towards the end of their marriage, telling the publication:
“[He’s] hysterical in some ways. Until he started making jokes about me and he didn’t know I was in the audience, because I had come to surprise him at one of his shows.”
The songstress has since moved onto fellow musician, John Mayer.
