Lady Gaga to Katy Perry: Let’s ‘F**k Up Some Hackers’ After ‘Roar’ Leak
Dearest song hackers, Lady Gaga has a few words for you.
Following the leak of a snippet of “Applause,” Gaga’s first single from her highly anticipated ARTPOP, and hours after Katy Perry’s “Roar” hit the internet earlier than planned, Mother Monster took to Twitter to slam those responsible.
“Lord, in HEAVEN WHY,” she began in a series of tweets. “YOU JUST COULDN’T WAIT THIS IS TOO MUCH FOR ONE SATURDAY.”
The 27-year-old singer also posted the following Twitter message for Perry, who had remained silent for most of Saturday despite mostly positive reaction from fans who stumbled upon her new single.
“Wanna grab some shovels and f**k up some hackers? @katyperry excited to hear you ROAR, sorry to hear about your truck!” Gaga wrote, referring to Perry’s promotional gold truck and the accident it had at a Walmart parking lot.
“@ladygaga what a WILD weekend so far,” Perry responded. “Claws out, paws up! Looking forward to putting my hands up & making them touch too!”
“Roar” officially drops on iTunes at 12 a.m. EST tonight, while “Applause” arrives Aug. 19.
