Make room on your coffee table — Drew Barrymore is coming out with a new book.
The actress is ready to release her first photography book, Find It in Everything. Due out Jan. 14, 2014, the 96-page collection will feature only one thing: hearts. The photographs are all of heart shapes in everyday scenarios — revealed in a straw wrapper, or a hole in a T-shirt, or a scallion in a bowl of miso soup — that Drew has snapped during the last decade.
“I have always loved hearts,” she writes in the foreword to the book, already available for pre-order on Amazon. “The way that continuous line accomplishes the most extraordinary thing — it conveys love.”
Over the past few years, Drew has added photographer to her long list of credentials, pointing her lens for V magazine and a Tommy Hilfiger campaign and landing an exhibition at International Center of Photography in New York City. And she made no secret of her plans to publish her work one day.
“I’d like to work on my book of photography,” she told PEOPLE in 2009. “I’ve been taking photos for like 10 years so that’s a goal for this year. Even if I just start it … everything is just a mess and I need to archive it all. So I’d like to focus on my photography.”
At last, she has. And now it all makes sense why she joined Twitter just yesterday.
