Kelly Clarkson: I’m NOT Pregnant But I AM Eloping

Kelly Clarkson may be ditching her her October nuptials for something more intimate, but the American Idol winner says it’s going to be anything but a shotgun wedding.

Taking to her Twitter, the “Since U Been Gone” crooner has denied rumors she’s expecting a child with fiance Brandon Blackstock, writing that there’s “only one reason” the couple is choosing to elope:

We are so busy that we finally just came to terms the other night and were like, ‘So, we change our minds and we want to elope.’ We just got so overwhelmed by it – all the decisions,” Clarkson told PEOPLE of her new plans Wednesday. “We sent out a save-the-date to everyone and then it got crazy and all the details were leaking.”

The news came after Clarkson told Ryan Seacrest that she was “so over” her fall wedding.

“It’s so overwhelming. We’re just doing a lot: touring and the wedding and the Christmas album, so I’m over the wedding part,” she said.

The 31-year-old became engaged to Blackstock — the son of Clarkson’s longtime manager Narvel Blackstock and stepson of Reba McEntire — in December 2012 after the dad-of-two proposed with a yellow canary diamond ring.
