Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Asked to Return as Golden Globes Hosts

Praise be to the TV gods: Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are being asked to host the Golden Globes again.

Deadline reports that NBC and Dick Clark Productions have approached the besties for a second go-around as emcees at the 2014 awards ceremony, set for Jan. 12. While no concrete conversations have taken place, the former Saturday Night Live stars have received something of an informal invitation.

It's no surprise that the peacock would want the funnywomen to return. Now only did their wise cracks earn the hosting duo wide acclaim from viewers and critics alike, but with them at the helm, the awards ceremony drew nearly 20 million viewers, marking one of the most-watched Golden Globes in its history.

Who knows if Fey and Poehler can even find the time to play Globes host again. Though 30 Rock has wrapped, Fey has already sold two comedy projects and is expected to pitch more shows, while Poehler still stars on NBC hit comedy series Parks and Recreation.

But we're hoping they find it in their hearts to say yes. Please? Pretty please with sugar on top?
