Legendary television star Valerie Harper is joining the cast of Dancing With the Stars despite having terminal brain cancer, TMZ reported Wednesday. The 74-year-old star of Mary Tyler Moore and Rhoda will be paired with Tristan MacManus when the show returns in the fall, according to the report. Harper was diagnosed with leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, a rare form of brain cancer, on Jan. 15. At the time, doctors gave her just three months to live.
Also expected to dance this season are Leah Remini, Elizabeth Berkley, Amber Riley and Snooki.
