Kate Middleton Leaves Prince George With ‘Granny’ For A Few Hours

Her first post-baby appearance was scheduled for September 12th, but the Duchess of Cambridge felt it important to attend today’s Ring O’ Fire race in Anglesey, Wales.

Initially the Duchess wasn’t going to attend,” a palace source told the Daily Mail.  “But she was also keen for the chance to thank the people of Anglesey herself for the warmth and hospitality they have shown her and the Duke.”

The Cambridges will leave Anglesey next month after William’s operational tour with the RAF ends.

Catherine told the crowds that her five-week-old son, Prince Georgewas faring well.

“He’s doing very well,” she told a fellow mum at the event.  “He’s with granny at the moment. He’s sleeping well but I know these things change at a minute’s notice.”

The Duchess wore a recycled Zara top (first seen at Mark Tomlinson’s Swiss wedding weekend back in March) with a blazer and her Pied a Terre wedges, according to What Kate Wore.

The Ring O’ Fire challenge is a 3-day, 135-mile marathon around the coast of Anglesey, Wales.
