5 Things I Learned While Filming Socialite Life’s Liquid Lunch

Celebuzz’s sister site Socialite Life recently revived their much-beloved web series Liquid Lunch, where editors sound off about celebrity gossip over beverages that may or may not be spiked with alcohol. Needless to say, I was totally on board when they asked me to shoot the first revamped episode.

Here’s what I learned that fateful day when I drank and chatted about Fifty Shades of GreyKaty Perry‘s “Roar” and the happenings at the Toronto Film Festival.

1. I am a lightweight.

Oh, the Asian blush is not a myth, kids.

2. Charlie Hunnam better take off his shirt (a lot) in Fifty Shade of Grey.

As someone who was really bored with the non-robot fight scenes (and maybe the ones that did not feature Charlie Day) in Pacific Rim, I am hoping there will be either lots of eye candy or better chemistry than what was between him and Rinko Kikuchi in the movie.

3. Never say that Benedict Cumberbatch is the epitome of a British gentleman in front of another British bloke.

Apologies to our producer, Tom Freestone. (But come on, his real name is Benedict Cumberbatch. It doesn’t get more British than that.)

4. Never fall asleep in film class during college.

I must’ve missed the lesson on Jim Jarmusch.

5. Guys like boobs.

Perry’s “Roar” video was a definite hit with the boys.
