Lloyd Christmas is back — chipped tooth and all.
Almost two decades after Dumb and Dumber debuted, Jim Carrey is finally flashing that iconic grin again for a sequel. The actor gave a first look at him in character with a close-up of his chipped front tooth, writing, “GESS HUUZ BAK BICHEZ?”
Dumb and Dumber To will reteam Carrey’s Lloyd Christmas and Jeff Daniels‘ Harry Dunne, who moviegoers first met as dim-witted, but big-hearted, best friends on a cross-country adventure.
After years of the Farrelly Brothers pushing to create a sequel to their beloved comedy, Daniels confirmed this summer that the anticipated project got a thumbs up, saying production would start in September.
Recent reports suggest the new film will flash-forward 20 years, following Harry and Lloyd as they track down one of their children with Fraida Felcher (maybe played by Kathleen Turner), the “babe who worked for the tractor company,” as referenced in the original.
Why? One of them needs a new kidney, of course.
