Joe Biden's Niece Arrested For Being Angry And Late With The Rent
Caroline Biden, the VP's niece, was arrested at her TriBeCa apartment this morning after taking a swing at a female police officer.
NYPD were called to the 26-year-old's apartment at 9:15am. While paperwork was being filled out, Biden started "mouthing off," "threw a punch," and then "lunged at" an officer. She was swiftly arrested and described to the New York Post as "highly uncooperative" bye a source.
Biden, a Georgetown University grad and the daughter of Joe's brother, James Sr., was reportedly several months behind on her rent, which led to the scuffle.
“I wasn’t there, she’s renting from me,” Anne Marie Yacopetti, who wasn't present during the argument and subsequent arrest, told the Post.
Yacopetti sublets the apartment to Biden and the other roommate, who share the converted one-bedroom apartment.
Back in 2009, Biden was briefly detained after arguing with an Amtrak official over train fare.
