Jon Gosselin Pulls Gun on Photographer in Pennsylvania
UPDATE 9:55 A.M. PST: Celebuzz has confirmed the photographer filed a police report with the Robeson Township Police Department, and after officers spoke with both parties involved no criminal charges were filed, according to Chief Mark Phillips.
Reality TV star-turned-waiter Jon Gosselin is in the headlines again.
TMZ is reporting that the 36-year-old pulled a gun on a photographer on Friday, after he noticed that the shutterbug was following him back to his cabin home.
Gosselin allegedly fired a warning shot before he chased the female photographer back to the main road by car.
The incident, which occurred in Beckersville, Pa., comes just days after the former TLC star revealed that he’s been working as a waiter at a local restaurant.
“At first I was nervous because I was like, ‘How are people going to react?’ But then I’m thinking, ‘Well it’s fun and I get to talk to people.’ And they technically already know me . . . they’re like, ‘Are you the guy? ‘ I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’m the guy,’” he told Entertainment Tonight.
Gosselin is currently fighting a nasty lawsuit filed by ex-wife Kate Gosselin. As Celebuzz reported this week, the father of eight is demanding that a Pennsylvania court dismiss the lawsuit, which claims he stole Kate’s computer and hacked into her cell phone for his 2012 book.
According to TMZ, the photographer involved in Friday’s gun incident is planning to file a police report on Saturday.
Update at 12 p.m. PST: Jon Gosselin has issued a statement on the incident, noting that the photographer trespassed private property.
“I am licensed to carry a concealed handgun, which I withdrew and used to fire a warning shot AWAY from the paparazza . . . it is well within my rights under Pennsylvania law when someone is trespassing on private property.” [via TMZ]
