Go Inside Katie Holmes’ $12,500 a Month NYC Panty-Dropping Palace

It seems like only yesterday when Katie Holmes pulled off the ultimate Houdini-like headline-making stunt no one ever thought possible. That is, divorcing Tom Cruise and fleeing to New York City.

Well, for the last year the Big Apple has become her I-successfully-escaped-Scientology sanctuary, where the former Mrs. Cruise has been living the single life (but still in high style) in one of Manhattan’s most shi-shi high-rises known as the Chelsea Mercantile where she reportedly rented a “secret” apartment.

Now, the secret is out and CB! is taking you inside her Chelsea crib for the first time.

The 2,000 square foot loft is a far cry from her former life of leisure at the Cruise compound in Beverly Hills, but (according to property records) for $12,500 a month it’s perfect for two and Suri-approved with a children’s room.

Although the pics don’t do it justice, we’re pretty sure the Holmes & Yang designer has put her classic touch on the newly-minted bachelorette pad.

Holmes can bask in her singledom with tons of sunlight shining through her 3-bedroom, 2-bath spread, with dramatic 11-foot ceilings, massive living room, and what all Manhattanites pay the big bucks for — north and west views, master bath with a private skyline vista and “one of the best roof decks” on the island.

And if Katie and Suri don’t want to be pestered by paps, they can make a swift exit through the private garage and valet or do some mother-daughter bonding in the play area and gym all under one roof.
