Realty Byte: This Is What You Can Buy If You’re the Richest Woman In the World
He'll just ask Christy Walton (yep, those Waltons who founded discount mega-chain Wal-Mart).
Walton was just touted by Forbes as the "Richest Woman in the World" with $35.4 billion in the bank, so how does she celebrate her famous fam’s status as No. 6 on the U.S. rich list?
By selling her Wyoming ranch for something bigger and better, of course.
The Wal-Mart heiress, who inherited her immense wealth from her husband, John Walton, when he died in a plane crash in 2005, is unloading her home in Jackson Hole for $12.5 million big ones.
The breathtaking beauty of the rural manse can be seen in its 2.5 acres of rolling hills, abundant wildflowers and flowing creek that runs through the property. But this isn’t your typical log cabin. It’s almost 9,000 square feet with 6 bedrooms, 7 baths, guest cottage, cathedral ceilings, imported European details, even heated floors (and the occasional moose).
