The hitmaker has slammed his “Poetic Justice” collaborator Drake — who was one of the stars previously called out — in a new verse he freestyled in conjunction with the BET Hip-Hop Awards. Though the full cypher will hit the web Oct. 15, a snippet of Lamar’s diss has surfaced online.
“And nothin’ been the same since they dropped ‘Control’ / And tucked a sensitive rapper back in his pajama clothes / Ha-ha, jokes on you, high-five, I’m bulletproof / Your shit’s a never penetrate, pin the tail on the donkey, boy you been a fake,” he raps in the leaked clip, referencing to Drake’s latest — and more sensitive — album, Nothing Was the Same.
The new insult comes after Drake downplayed the impact of Lamar’s initial “Control” challenge, when the rapper told the press that he wasn’t threatened by the notion of Lamar murdering him “at all, in any platform.”
The ball’s in your court again, Drake.
