‘Lucky 7′ is Fall TV Season’s First Fatality
ABC has given the axe to Lucky 7, making it the first canceled show of the season. From the onset, Lucky 7 had devastatingly low ratings; as it turns out people aren’t too interested in the hardships a group of Astoria residents face after winning a $45 million lottery.
The show is based on a British show, The Syndicate, and even stars some of the original cast members. The cancelation is hardly a surprise, as ABC didn’t even spend any money to market the show, after polling data showed low interest. The show’s second (and final) episode took in a deadly 0.7 rating for adults between 18-49.
ABC will begin airing Scandal reruns during the show’s Tuesday 10 p.m. EST time-slot.
