Relax, Everyone: Britney Spears is Going to “Sing Live” in Las Vegas
But in the meantime, there’s been plenty of chatter about whether or not the pop princess will actually sing. Live.
“I’m definitely going to be singing live. I always sing live,” Spears told 103.5 KISS FM in Chicago on Friday. “I’m always singing. It doesn’t sound so great all the time, but I do my best."
The “Work Bitch” singer’s comments come just over a week after her manager Larry Rudolph confirmed that Spears will indeed be singing live.
“It’s hard for the public to fully understand what goes on when you get on stage and you’re dancing full out during a song,” Rudolph told Billboard. “No matter what anyone says, there’s not a single artist who goes out there and does full choreography and is singing without a vocal track underneath them at the same time. It’s physically impossible.”
During her chat with the radio on Friday, Spears also echoed her comments on the “Work Bitch” video being too sexy even for her standards.
“Sometimes it’s frustrating to be put in that situation, like, what’s going on?” she said.
Britney Spears’ Las Vegas residency kicks off Dec. 27. Her eighth studio album is scheduled for a Dec. 3 release.
