Watch: Orlando Bloom Performs the Balcony Scene from ‘Romeo and Juliet’ for the ‘New York Times’

Not all of us are lucky enough to catch Orlando Bloom’s Broadway debut in New York City this season. But the next best thing is here, thanks to the folks at The New York Times.

The actor, who can currently be seen in Romeo and Juliet, recently stopped by the publication to treat everyone to some of the play’s most famous lines.

Bloom’s “In Performance” video is set in Act 2, Scene 2 of William Shakespeare’s beloved play. For those of us who read it and performed it high school, it’s also known as the “balcony scene.”

Yes, it’s a little hard to imagine Bloom’s Juliet (played by Condola Rashad on Broadway) in this particular set up. But let’s work with Orly here. (Ie. gaze into his eyes and pretend he’s talking to us).
