No, a Breaking Bad musical isn’t happening. (But let’s entertain that idea for a few seconds).
The man himself, Bryan Cranston, is set to make his Broadway debut later this season, starring as Lyndon B. Johnson in the play All the Way. The news was confirmed by producer Jeffrey Richards on Sunday. [via TheNew York Times]
Cranston, who stole hearts as Walter White on the small screen, has actually been starring in the same play at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, Mass. since mid-September.
All the Way focuses on Johnson’s presidency following the JFK assassination. According to the NYT, other major characters include Martin Luther King Jr. and J. Edgar Hoover.
Breaking Bad bid adieu for good exactly one week ago after five seasons on AMC.
