Hannah Montana “Murdered,” Plus Other Things You May Have Missed from Miley Cyrus’ ‘SNL’ Gig
Hannah Montana fans: your girl’s dead.
Miley Cyrus made the announcement during her opening monologue on Saturday Night Live.
After explaining why she wasn’t twerking on the show and issuing an apology for people who make the bottom half of shirts, the 20-year-old gave an update on her beloved Disney character.
“She was murdered,” Cyrus said.
The “Wrecking Ball” singer also opened the show with a familiar costume: her bear outfit from the MTV Video Music Awards. And speaking of familiar, that’s the wonderful Vanessa Bayer as Miley (during her “Party in the USA” days).
Here are some other highlights from last night’s SNL: Miley as Scarlett Johansson in a “lost audition tape” reel for Fifty Shades of Grey the movie:
Miley’s stripped down version of “We Can’t Stop.” (Take note of her footwear). She also performed “Wrecking Ball” on the program.
And this gem: Miley as Michele Bachmann, opposite the hilarious Taran Killam as House Speaker John Boehner, in a music video about the government shutdown.
