Following her hosting stint on Saturday Night Live, Miley Cyrus appeared on the Today Show Monday morning where she and Matt Lauer sat down for what turned out to be a very uncomfortable six minutes of television.
It starts off softball-y as can be, with Lauer, ever the stern-but-fair high school principal, asking Cyrus to evaluate her own performance on SNL. However, we soon veer wildly off-track as the pair, a 55-year-old man and a 20-year-old former child star, begin to discuss aging’s effect on the body’s sexual urges on nationally-televised morning programming.
Matt: “Is the sexual side of you that we’re seeing a lot of right now something that’s going to be here for a while and then move on to something else?”
Miley: “Well I heard when you turn 40, things start to go a little less sexual, so, probably around 40, around that time I heard that’s when people don’t have sex anymore so I guess maybe around then.”
Matt: “Do you know how old I am?”
Miley: “I’m going to guess around 40.”
Matt:“I love you again! Fifty-five.”
Miley: “Fifty-five. Oh well then you’re really definitely not sexual.”
In addition to comparing sexual proclivities, Cyrus and Lauer discussed regrets (none), future plans (none) and worries (also none). It must be nice to be 20 years old and filthy rich.
