Last night, the Pride of Britain Awards recognized the “unsung heroes” in communities across the UK, namely those who have overcome extraordinarily challenging situations.
Football coach June Kelly, who set up a youth team as an alternative to gangs, drugs and crime, was chosen to present Prince William with a uniform at Buckingham Palace. The video, taped during the historic amateur match earlier that day, was shown at the ceremony.
Not only did June have a jersey for William, but one for Prince George as well.
One problem, dad pointed out: George might not fit into his kit.
“He might only just fit in that,” William told Kelly. “He’s gotten so big recently.”
George weighed 8 lbs 6 oz when he was born on July 22nd, 2013. He’ll be christened inside The Chapel Royal at St. James’s Palace on October 23rd.
