CBS Axes ‘We Are Men’

After just two episodes, CBS is pulling We Are Men from its Monday night schedule, making it the second cancelation of the season. The show starred Tony Shalhoub, Jerry O’Connell, Chris Smith and Kal Penn as men being men and doing ostensibly funny man things. In a surprising bout of sound judgement by American television watchers, it was a flop.

The cancelation of We Are Men throws a wrench into CBS’ Monday night comedy block. 2 Broke Girls will now air at 8:30, while CBS will air Big Bang Theory repeats for a few weeks at 9. Then, on Nov. 4, Mike & Molly will return for its fourth season, airing at 9. Mom will remain at 9:30. The decision to cancel We Are Men gives another week for Hostages, also airing Mondays on CBS, to get its footing.
