Realty Byte: Salma Hayek Rents Out Her Hillside Hideaway for $9,500 a Month
Who needs a starter home when you’re married to a billionaire?
That’s exactly what saucy Mexican-American actress Salma Hayek was asking herself, so her answer was to put her first home on the market for $9,500 a month and stick to living in her mansion with her CEO hubby François-Henri Pinault (who owns those little fashion houses Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Balenciaga.)
And it worked. She’s found a renter, Celebuzz has learned.
The L.A. oasis is hidden away in the exclusive Hollywood Hills enclave of the Outpost Estates. The ranch style home is quaint, coming in at 2,800 square feet, but there are a lot of surprises in store.
The 47-year-old silver screen stunner bought the 4-bedroom, 3-bath Mid-Century crib in the early days of her Hollywood career (circa 1996) and it’s pretty clear why she hasn’t given it up.
The expansive floor plan showcases the great room with walls of floor-to-ceiling glass that open onto the romantic poolside patio surrounded by towering trees and your own private palapa in the garden.
Other A-list amenities include a newly decked-out kitchen, luxurious aqua blue tiled master bath (with charming chandelier dangling over the tub), equally-huge walk-in closet, and magical views of the sparkling L.A. skyline.
