Realty Byte: James Van Der Beek Lists His Valley Village Digs for $1.195 Million

James Van Der Beek is a long way from Dawson’s Creek.

In fact, TV’s beloved melodramatic teen traded the North Carolina set for North Hollywood since the cast of the hit series shed their last on-camera tear and said goodbye to flannel in 2003.

Now, eight years after signing the deed, Van Der Beek has put his Cali digs on the market for a newly-discounted $1.195 million.

And since he’s expecting baby No. 3 with wife Kimberly Brook, the Van Der Beeks need a bigger spread for their brood. So as they say, it’s out with the old and in with the new. Only this place doesn’t feel dated and has tons of charm (just check out that ridiculously cute porch swing.)

The 4-bedroom, 3-bath has quaint curb appeal and is traditional meets modern right as you walk through the front door. The retreat is in the quiet L.A. enclave of Valley Village and has tons of character filling up the 3,000 square foot space — including the large cozy great room, vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, pool and serene garden oasis.

The peaceful home energy also flows into the billiard room and luxe master suite with steam bath and spa tub for some much needed daddy downtime.
