As Hunger Games: Catching Fire breaks box office records this weekend, it only seems fitting for the Saturday Night Live cast to get in on the fandom that has swept the world.

So, in a twist, host Josh Hutcherson decided to make fun of his silver screen skills.

“I play Peeta, the brave young hero who immediately gets hurt and has to be carried around for the rest of the movie,” he pointed out in his opening monologue.

The suit and tie clad actor even took aim at his pint-size appearance despite his age.

“It’s almost Thanksgiving and I just turned 21,” Hutcherson added. “I will be drinking wine at the kids’ table. I’m very excited.”

The laughs continued with castmember super fan Kate McKinnon dressed as Elizabeth Banks‘ character Effie Trinket determined to put on her own games by making her less-than-enthused castmates into tributes.

And it all ended with Cecily Strong carrying Hutcherson into the next sketch — literally.
