Joan Rivers Would Like You To Relax and Give Alec Baldwin a Break
After allegedly calling a photographer a "c***s****** f**, MSNBC cancelled Baldwin's show, Up Late With Alec Baldwin. Baldwin took time out from filming a movie in Hawaii to defend himself to Gothamist via phone.
"If I called him 'cocksucking maggot' or a 'c********** motherf*****'... 'f*****' is not the word that came out of my mouth. That I know," Baldwin said.
"But you've got the fundamentalist wing of gay advocacy—Rich Ferraro and Andrew Sullivan—they're out there, they've got you. Rich Ferraro, this is probably one of his greatest triumphs.
"They killed my show. And I have to take some responsibility for that myself."
Rivers defended Baldwin's right to say whatever the eff he wants. In fact, she encourages everyone and anyone to use whatever sort of offensive slur they want.
Why? Because America. And because everyone is at least one of those offensive slurs.
