Kanye West Explains Why He Filmed His Proposal to Kim Kardashian
Kanye West the Media Omnipresent, Conqueror of Wor(l)ds, Slayer of Beats, has given so many interviews of late that it’s amazing he still has anything to talk about. During a recent radio interview, West explained why he decided to have his proposal to Kim Kardashian filmed.
“When we got engaged I made sure the show was there [filming] because I felt like that’s something that would make her happy,” West told Hot 97 DJ Angie Martinez.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians cameras were rolling when West proposed to Kardashian on her 33rd birthday at San Francisco’s AT&T Park. West has previously shied away from appearing on the reality show that made the Kardashian family a household name.
“Regardless of how it was shot, I felt like this is a moment she would like to have and would like to share and just have that documented,” West said. “And we could decide later or not if we wanted to air it.” There was one hiccup, though, when YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley uploaded video he took at the proposal online. West and Kardashian are now suing him, claiming he violated a confidentiality agreement.
Apparently the experience wasn’t too terrible for West either, as the couple is now reportedly considering filming their wedding ceremony as well.
