Real Estate Roundup: Katy Perry Finally Sells Her $5.9M L.A. Mansion and The Game Finds a Buyer For His $1.8M Pad
Katy Perry’s got nearly 6 million reasons to be thankful this holiday.
That’s because after 7 months and over a $1 million discount on her Los Angeles mansion, she’s finally unloading the pricey pad.
And even though she’s not quite counting a profit after splashing out $6.5 million back in 2011, $5.988 million this time around isn’t too shabby.
If this place looks familiar, it’s the “Roar” singer’s former love nest she shared with then-hubby Russell Brand. And now that she’s long moved on with her new man John Mayer and bought herself two sweet new bachelorette pads in the Hollywood Hills, she’s definitely putting her past in the past.
As of Nov. 19, the sale on the digs is pending, according to property records, and the new owner’s getting a steal (considering she originally wanted $6.925M for the Mediterranean manse). The last time Katy’s crib was almost picked up by a buyer was back in August and it fell through, so hopefully the second time’s the charm.
And a good deal isn’t all the new owner is taking to the bank.
Located near the famed Chateau Marmont hotel, the 3-acre estate dubbed Park Hill was built in 1921 and has kept all its vintage appeal with a 2-story grand entry and living room overlooking all of L.A. and a dramatic skyline to the ocean. The sprawling spread is rock star-approved with a whopping 7 bedrooms and 9 baths in the main house along with not 1… but 2 guest houses.
Not to mention, the fortress-like privacy with double gated entrance sits high above the street, so taking a dip in the lagoon-like pool or splash around in the waterfall can be done without prying eyes.
Travel just 11 miles east where rapper, The Game, has had even better luck in the real estate game. After only 44 days on the market, the sale is pending on his Glendale abode for $1.799 million, according to property records.
Dr. Dre’s protege opted for the suburban life away from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, but inside it’s perfectly pimped out for any A-lister.
The gated 4-bedroom, 5-bath home comes with a huge game room with big screen TV and stereo system, custom maple cabinets throughout, high ceilings, a resort-like master suite with tons of closets and an entertainment center, pool and one-of-a-kind built-in BBQ area.
