Louis C.K Will Produce More Uncomfortably Funny Shows for FX

Lovers of comedy, I have some exciting news to share with you: Louis C.K. has just inked a production deal with FX Networks. The funniest Ginger-haired gentleman from Boston will develop, write and direct more pilots.

FX announced the deal today in collaboration with Louis’ Pig Newton production company. While it’s stipulated that Louis won’t necessarily write or direct the projects he’s attached to, he will have the option if he so chooses.

FX CEO John Landgraf said in a statement,”Working with Louis C.K. has been one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences of my career. So many incredibly talented artists want to work with Louis and follow down the independent and idiosyncratic creative trail he has blazed. “

“I can’t wait to see who he brings through our door, not to mention any new projects that he wants to create for us,” Landgraf added. Hear, hear, Sir!

Although this production deal is not affiliated with Louis’ Emmy-winning show Louie, that too will be returning for a fourth season in May 2014.
