Prince Harry Makes a Phone Call From Antarctica
Row2Recovery, an organization supported by The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry through their Endeavour Fund, will row 3,000 miles across the Atlantic on December 4th. The team is made up of both able-bodied and injured servicemen, who will depart from the Canary Islands for Antigua.
Harry called the team from Antarctica ahead of Sunday's start to wish them luck, making all sorts of adorable faces (around the 3:17 mark)
Today, Team Glendfiddich is still in the lead, but all teams have faced struggles in reaching the South Pole. Not only do they have to pull equipment on their journey, but the Antarctic terrain has made skiing difficult. Sastrugi, which are sharp irregular grooves formed on the snow surface by wind erosion, have made the trek all the more difficult.
