CommentBuzz: The Week’s Best Reader Comments About Paul Walker, ’50 Shades,’ and More

Can we all agree that it has been a long, sad week? Between Paul Walker’s tragic death and Nelson Mandela passing away on Thursday, I would argue that it’s been the saddest week in quite a while. It was lovely reading all of your kind messages for both Mr. Walker and Mr. Mandela — on the site and on Facebook and Twitter. You all are a good bunch of people! Cheers to a better next week, and to your amazing comments from this one.

The week’s biggest story was the tragic, untimely death of actor Paul Walker:

“I’m sorry for your loss everyone for Paul walker” – Jasminka

“So sad…” – Magdalena

In the wake of Paul’s death, fans questioned whether or not Fast & Furious 7, which was midway through production, would ever see the light of day:

“As much as it would be really nice to scrap the movie, this is a film and a family he loves working with. Stopping production isn’t something he would want for him. Although I do believe that when the movie hits theatres, proceeds should go to his family and organizations he was involved with.” – Celyna

“let them do it for paul not the money and his family” - Cristobal

“Gosh can we please let this man rest in peace?” – jillymayr

“I think his death should be written in the movies after all he was part of this movie and leave what he has done and figure out the rest but don’t take off what he already has done. I at least want to see him in the movie.” – Jackie

“Personally I hope they don’t continue with the production of Fast & Furious 7 and the movie is never released. I love them they are my fav movies ! But the movie won’t be the same without Paul Walker, as there will only ever be one Brian O’Connor.” – Kylee

“Paul Walker is the ONLY man for the role of Brian, a recast is ridiculous. We’ll miss you Paul, I’ve cried off and on for days now :-(” – Kryptic

“I think they should have it so he chooses family life and gives up the car game to settle with his girlfriend and baby so it’s a happy send off not more death!!!!” – Wilson

Rumors are swirling that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth might be getting back together:

“I’ve been waiting this….been waiting them to be back together. FINALLY! I love you Miles” – Nizy

“lol this is exactly what I did with my first relationship ex…. it’s fragile.” – Chad

“i thought they stole the ringg too!!!!!! hahahaa” – Jaen

“Maybe she will grow her hair back. Because I like the new Miley, I just can’t stand that hair on her. Girl put on a wig or some hair extensions. Please!” – Travis

Joe Jonas’ tell-all in New York Magazine ruffled some feathers:

“Like it or not, each of the Jonas brothers has been a kind of role model for young people. Glad Joe waited until he was 20 years old before losing his virginity. By saying that, perhaps other young people may wait. However, that may have been about the time he also got into heavier drugs???? I am not judging him–I just worry about our younger people and the role models that have–or that they lack.” – Robert

50 Shades of Grey author E.L. James shared a sneak peek of the movie production, and it seems many still aren’t convinced that it will do the books justice:

“I don’t know how I feel about him playing the role.. I guess we will just have to wait and see. But in my opinion, he doesn’t look like the Christian Grey I had in my head……. I know the movie will NOT do the books justice.. I am in love with my imagination as I read through the books, again <3″ – faolbl0607

“She isn’t at all the cutest, neither.. I hope they turn out sexy in the movie though..” – faolbl0607
