Susan Boyle Reveals She Has Asperger Syndrome
"I have always known that I have had an unfair label put upon me," Boyle said (via People). "Now I have a clearer understanding of what's wrong and I feel relieved and a bit more relaxed about myself."
Boyle thought that her learning difficulties as a child were a result of birth complications. A specialist tested Boyle about a year ago and discovered that she had an above-average IQ.
"It was the wrong diagnosis when I was a kid," she said. "I was told I had brain damage."
