Justin Bieber Visits Typhoon Haiyan Victims, Raises Money For Relief Efforts

Justin Bieber recently launched a global campaign on celebrity charity-fundraising digital platform Prizeo.com to aid victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

Today, Bieber visited Leyte Province in the Philippines, gifting children with shirts, toys and basketballs, according to the Associated Press.  He even put on a special concert in the affected area.

"Justin brought a lot of joy, hope and cheer to the hundreds of children who were there," UNICEF emergency coordinator Angela Kearney said in a statement.

Bieber's campaign, which has raised over $650,000 to date, "will give some of the children who were caught in the path of Haiyan access to education, vaccinations, better nutrition, clean water and sanitation," Kearney said.
