Kate Winslet is "Thrilled To Bits" About Her Newborn Baby Boy

On Saturday, Oscar winner and eyebrow icon Kate Winslet welcomed a baby boy with husband Ned Rocknroll.  The couple, who married last December, announced they were expecting a child together in June.

According to her rep, Kate and the 9 lb doodle bop are "doing great" and the family is "thrilled to bits" about their new addition.

Winslet, 38, has two children - Mia, 13 and Joe, 19 - from her first two marriages.  She and Rocknroll met on Sir Richard Branson's Necker Island, where Winslet helped save Branson's mother during a lightning storm that struck some of the buildings.

Winslet recently told People Magazine that she felt "completely great."

"Being a parent turns you inside outIt completely transforms your life and, of course, your children are your absolute everything."

When Winslet received a CBE at Buckingham Palace in November 2012, she and Queen Elizabeth spoke briefly of motherhood.

While pinning the medal onto Winslet's lapel, Her Majesty asked the Brit if she enjoyed acting.

I said yes I liked it but not as much as being a mother," Winslet recalled.  "She said, ‘it is the best job.’”
