Chris Brown Rejects Plea Deal in Assault Case

Chris Brown Rejects Plea Deal
Chris Brown said no deal when it came to pleading guilty of simple assault in a Washington, D.C. courtroom Wednesday.

The R&B singer’s attorneys turned down the plea deal during a 10-minute hearing in conjunction with the alleged verbal fight that turned physical outside the W Hotel in October involving the 25-year-old, his bodyguard, and a fan.

Brown dodged the media frenzy as he rushed to his waiting car...

At the time of his arrest, TMZ reported that as Brown was taking a photo with two female fans, two men rushed over to get in the photo op, which pissed off the “Take You Down" singer, who allegedly said “I’m not into this gay s**t, I’m into boxing.” As you can probably guess what happened next, Brown then allegedly punched the victim.

Other sources in Brown’s camp told the outlet the two men and women were actually trying to get on his tour bus and when Brown tried to stop the rush a fight broke out.

Since then, Brown was ordered to a 90-day residential rehab facility Nov. 20 to get treatment for anger management and a month later his probation in the Rihanna assault case was revoked.

The "Don't Wake Me Up" singer's next D.C. court date is Feb. 20.
