Rihanna Rejected ‘Girls’ Request to Feature Her Song

Lena on Rihanna
Oh, wait. This could be the reason.
Apparently, Rihanna is not a fan of HBO’s hit show Girls. The singer denied the show’s request to feature Rihanna’s song “Talk that Talk” on an episode, Girls Music Supervisor Manish Raval revealed in a recent interview. Icona Pop’s “I Love It” was used instead. Rihanna: Icona Pop thanks you.

While no explanation was given as to why Rihanna declined, it could simply have been that her record company wanted too much money. It’s worth noting that the particular episode involved cocaine and it’s well-documented that Riri’s drug of choice is marijuana, but who knows. Musicians Miguel, Lily Allen, Beck, and Jenny Lewis all contributed tracks for the third season of Lena Dunham‘s show about twentysomethings living in Manhattan.

The 25-year old singer just posted the new cover art for her single “Can’t Remember to Forget You” with Shakira.

Shakira and Rihanna look stunning, but it does look like a jewelry advertisement. Speaking of advertising, the “Diamonds” singer apparently has a new crush and she’s not being shy about it. He’s Philadelphia Eagles NFL player Mychal Kendricks. Rihanna posted a photo of the football player for #mancrushmonday with the caption: “Is it Monday? Cuz chhh…. #MCM

We don’t much about this guy but he is good looking, Rihanna. We will give you that.
