Amy Adams Explains How She's a Real Life Hustler... As a Mom
Amy Adams took home one of the Golden Globes' top honors for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for American Hustle.
And now that she's raising a toddler at home, the actress has quickly learned the art of the hustle comes in handy.
“I have a three-and-half-year-old, I hustle a lot," she told reporters, including Celebuzz, backstage at the Golden Globe Awards. "There’s a lot of working it out to try to get her on board. I would say I’m constantly negotiating. Anyone with children understands that hustle-y pull to try to get her to sleep.”
But taking home awards for her performance as a hustler never crossed her mind. It was actually the red carpet gauntlet of awards season that she was more concerned about.
“I don’t think about that. I worry more about the red carpet," she laughed. "I know that sounds silly. I’m always so self-conscious. So once that’s done I kind of relax.”
So now that the hard part is over, what does the rest of the night bring?
“Hanging out with my man [fiancé Darren Le Gallo], we’re going to some parties, drink of lot of champagne and try to get home with some dignity,” said Adams, whose next on-screen project is the Superman sequel and a couple things in development she's staying mum about for now.
“I feel like I’m embarking on a totaling different chapter of my career," Adams said. "I don’t know what it holds and if it's going to be great or not.
“My daughter has really taught me to embrace joy and let go of fear. So hopefully I'll get to move forward without fear, whatever it is."
