Leonardo DiCaprio Hasn't Been Able to Work Since 'Wolf of Wall Street'

Leonardo DiCaprio 2014 Golden Globes

Leonardo DiCaprio went home a winner during tonight's Golden Globes in the best film actor (comedy), for his role as Jordan Belfort, a stockbroker who rises to unthinkable riches before falling into crime and corruption, in The Wolf of Wall Street.

After numerous nominations over the years, this is DiCaprio's second Golden Globe win. He took home a best actor (drama) award for 2004's The Aviator, also directed by Martin Scorsese.

Watch Leo accept his award below.

Backstage after picking up his trophy, DiCaprio said that he had been wanting to do a film like this since 2008, because "this level of hedonism, this world needs to be portrayed authentically" and it was a reflection of world around us.

He says that he was so invested in the role in The Wolf of Wall Street that his isn't sure if he'll ever find a project that he's as passionate about. He put his entire life on hold for the film, and says "I haven't been able to work since."

He has no idea where he will go next, only that he only hopes to find something as interesting as his character in Wolf of Wall Street.

I'm guessing that we'll be seeing another Scorsese/DiCaprio collaboration in the future.
